Midrand, South Africa – SVR, previously known as Hallspeed, is excited to announce its plans for a significant expansion. The company is moving to a new, state-of-the-art facility that will more than double its current production capacity.
“I like things to be organized, and the flow needs to be right. So that’s why the move. The building will be the new Gazoo facility, and it will house all the cars inside. To give you an example, the facility should be 14,000 square meters.”
The move to a 14,000 square meter space will allow SVR to significantly expand its operations, including its machine shop, fabrication area, and assembly line. This expansion will enable the company to meet the growing demand for its high-performance vehicles and services.
“Our machine section will be double of what it is now. So basically, the machines will double. Fabrication will also double, and so will assembly. So we are hoping for in the next two years to basically see a doubling in production and sales in the company.”
Shameer Variawa, the owner of SVR, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. The expansion is a major milestone for SVR as it will allow them to better serve their customers and continue to innovate in the industry.
Variawa, a seasoned motorsport enthusiast and competitor, has been instrumental in SVR’s success.
With a successful racing career behind him, including multiple Dakar Rally appearances, Variawa brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company. Discussing the future of SVR, he said, “Well, the next goal is to win Dakar. So, the main goal is obviously we’ve got the challenge coming up in three months, which is the Dakar, and we’re going with four Hilux’s from South Africa.”
The new facility will provide SVR with the space and resources needed to further develop its capabilities. The company plans to invest in advanced manufacturing equipment and technology, allowing it to produce even more sophisticated and high-performance vehicles.
