SVR x EDGECAM: When Software Meets The Race Track

We recently had the opportunity to tour the facilities of SVR, formerly known as Hallspeed. EDGECAM, a proud sponsor of SVR, is instrumental in bringing cutting-edge software capabilities to the world of motorsport.

As SVR and Toyota Gazoo prepare for the upcoming Dakar Rally in 2025, the synergy between these two entities becomes even more evident. The Dakar Rally, a legendary endurance race, has captivated adventurers and thrill-seekers for decades. Originally starting in Paris and concluding in Dakar, Senegal, the event has faced numerous challenges. This included security threats that led to its relocation to South America and, more recently, Saudi Arabia.

The Dakar Rally is more than just a race; it’s a grueling test of human endurance, vehicle reliability, and strategic planning. Competitors navigate vast distances through inhospitable terrain, facing a myriad of challenges that include extreme temperatures, sandstorms, and treacherous obstacles.

As SVR and Toyota Gazoo gear up for the 2025 Dakar Rally, they are leveraging the power of EDGECAM software to optimize vehicle performance and enhance their chances of victory. The Dakar Rally is a formidable challenge, but with the right preparation and technology, SVR and Toyota Gazoo are well-positioned to conquer this legendary endurance race.

EDGECAM are proud sponsors of SVR. We recently went into their facility. We spoke to engineers, machine operators and management at SVR to peer into who they are and what they do.

“None of the engineers designs or ideas or anything would ever come to pass if we didn’t have EDGECAM as our CAM software.”
